
Ghana international Mohammed Salisu will not be available for AS Monaco when they take on Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League on Thursday evening.
The French Ligue 1 outfit travels to Belgium without the Black Stars defender due to a minor niggle injury he is currently carrying. However, Monaco will have to negotiate for points in the crucial away fixture without the Ghanaian marksman.
Salisu started and played full throttle of the match as his outfit cruised to an important 2-1 away win over AJ Auxerre. Despite lasting the entire duration, the former Southampton marksman picked up a minor niggle, ruling him out of the Champions League opener against Club Brugge.
The Ghana international struggled in his first Ligue 1 appearance this season, scoring an own despite the sides securing victory over Auxerre last Saturday.
He joins captain Denis Zakaria, Aleksandr Golovin, and Lukas Hradecky on the sidelines as Monaco gear up for the Champions League campaign.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian defender has featured just ones for Monaco in the 2025/26 French Ligue 1 season after four matches. The recent injury setback come as a huge for Salisu, who is determined to earn more game time this season, having struggled for minutes last term.
Meanwhile, Salisu will be hoping to make a swift return to action for the French giants.
