The Technical Directorate of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES), will launch the Football â4’ Girls project on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Kokomlemle Basic 2 School in Accra.
The initiative, which falls under the GFA Women’s Football Strategy, is designed to increase girls’ participation in football and promote gender equality in the sport. Targeting girls aged 6 to 12, the programme will introduce participants to football in a structured, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Parents and teachers will also be engaged as part of the event, reflecting the Education pillar of the Women’s Football Strategy. This component seeks to address common misconceptions about girls in football while outlining clear development pathways from grassroots to elite levels.
By inspiring and empowering the next generation, the Football â4’ Girls programme aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for women’s football and contribute to the long-term growth of the game in Ghana.
