The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with the German International School Accra (GISA), successfully staged the “Football4Girls” campaign on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the school’s campus in Accra.
Organised in collaboration with Faces of Football and the Sparkassenstiftung, the one-day event was held under the theme “Football Meets Finance.” It featured a blend of on- and off-pitch activities, including fun games designed to engage and inspire young participants.
The GFA was represented by Women’s Football Development Manager Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong, who outlined the Association’s Women’s Football Strategy and explained its technical and developmental aspects. She was joined by selected players from the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, who mentored the girls by sharing their football journeys, challenges, and achievements.
The initiative formed part of the GFA’s Women’s Football Strategy Implementation Program, which focuses on promoting grassroots development and expanding opportunities for women and girls nationwide.
By combining football activities with mentorship and education, the campaign provided participants with practical skills and inspiration to pursue their ambitions both on and off the field.
