The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, is optimistic his team will become much stronger as the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season shapes up.
The gaffer led his team to a 2-0 victory against Young Apostles on the opening weekend of the new league campaign.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko praised his players for the victory but argued that his team did not play their best football.
He expects that as the season takes shape, his side will improve to become stronger.
“The performance was 50/50. The first half was not good for us, but we did what was important. We kept a clean sheet as we earned the three points. Definitely, we are going to improve as the league goes on,” Ibrahim Tanko said.
This season, the former Accra Lions boss is aiming to lead Medeama Sporting Club to claim the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the campaign.
He believes his team has done a lot of work in pre-season and has what it takes to compete with the rest of the clubs in the division.
