The Black Stars have sent a strong message of reassurance to the nation ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Mali, promising to deliver victory after their disappointing draw against Chad.
Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams visited the team's camp on Saturday in a morale-boosting mission, reminding the players of their quality and the hopes of millions of Ghanaians.
"I know what you're capable of. There's no better team than you. You have the talent, the passion, and the opportunity to turn this around," Adams told the squad.
The team responded with renewed determination, with head coach Otto Addo emphasising their focus on qualification and the advantage of playing on the natural grass pitch at Accra Sports Stadium.
A senior player captured the team's confident mood, declaring: "We know what went wrong, and we are determined to correct it. The win is coming."
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the team through challenging moments, providing all necessary resources for success.
With Ghana's World Cup hopes hanging in the balance, the Black Stars have promised to give everything when they face Mali on September 8 in what is seen as a must-win encounter for their qualification campaign.
