Ghana winger Frank Acheampong continues to hog the headlines in China with superlative performances for unfancied Henan FC.
The evergreen forward defied all odds to lead his team to a first-ever FA Cup final and could make history with Henan FC if they go on to clinch the title against their decorated rivals Beijing Gouan.
Acheampong was the star of the show in the semi-final as Henan FC shocked Chengdu Rongcheng on penalties to reach the final.
The former Anderlecht winger, who has established himself as a cult-hero in China, has produced some of the best numbers by an African player in the league, registering double figures in the ongoing campaign.
Despite the consistent snub by the Black Stars, the inspired forward has scored 11 goals in the league and has an assist in 23 matches.
Meanwhile, his run in the FA Cup has been outstanding, with a goal in three matches and a series of Man of the Match awards.
"We have advanced to the FA Cup Finals. We extend our sincere gratitude to the fans for their steadfast support," posted the Ghana international on X.
Acheampong, one of Ghana's standout performers in abroad, has enjoyed incredible success in his career, winning two Belgium league titles, two Belgium Cups, the Thai league and Thai Cup.
