Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named young forward Jerry Afriyie in his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali next month.
The striker who recently sealed a deal to join RAAL La Louviere on loan from Al Qadsiah is one of seven forwards named in the team for September's showdown.
Afriyie's consistent invite stretches from November 2024 when he scored on his debut for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger. The 18-year-old has since been impressive in the colours of the national team.
He is yet to make a competitive appearance at club level this season after joining La Louviere this week.
However, last season, he netted four times in ten matches for Spanish lower-tier side CD Lugo in ten league matches.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are expected to start reporting to camp on September 1 for the upcoming fixtures as Ghana nears a return to the World Cup.
The Black Stars will travel to Chad for their encounter on September 4th before hosting Mali in Accra on September 8.
