Ghana Football Association (GFA) President and CAF Vice President Kurt E.S. Okraku has paid a morale-boosting visit to Bibiani Gold Stars as they prepare for their historic debut in the CAF Champions League.
Okraku’s presence at the club’s training ground was aimed at encouraging the players and technical team as they intensify preparations for Africa’s premier club competition. GoldStars, who clinched the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title, will be representing Ghana for the first time on the continental stage.
During his visit, the GFA boss urged the team to approach the competition with determination and pride, stressing that they are carrying the hopes of the nation.
Gold Stars are expected to face stiff competition from experienced African clubs, but the club’s management has expressed confidence in their ability to make an impact. The team is currently finalising its preparations, with friendly matches and tactical drills lined up before their first qualifying fixture.
This visit underscores the GFA’s commitment to supporting Ghanaian clubs in continental competitions, both on and off the pitch.
