Derrick Kohn may soon be packing his bags for FC Koln, as Die GeiÃböcke steps up its push to bring the talented left-back back to the Bundesliga.
The Galatasaray defender is now on the radar of the Rhineland club, who have reportedly tabled an offer for the 26-year-old.
After a season on loan at Werder Bremen, where Kohn made 30 appearances but lost his starting spot late in the campaign, the Bundesliga seems eager for his return. Bremen had a â¬5.125 million purchase option, but their final bid fell short, around â¬3.5 million. It was rejected by Galatasaray, who are holding out for at least â¬5 million.
Kohn is said to be open to a move to FC Koln but isn’t rushing a decision, with clubs in Germany and abroad circling. FC Augsburg has also shown interest, adding another layer to an already heated race.
For now, Koln’s offer reportedly doesn’t meet Galatasaray’s demands. But with the window still open, the battle for Köhn’s signature could intensify in the coming days.
