Wolves ready to meet asking price for English-Ghanaian winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi
Wolverhampton Wanderers are prepared to make a move for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, with the club identifying him as a long-term attacking reinforcement.Rak-Sakyi, who is of Ghanaian heritage and remains eligible to represent either Ghana or England at senior level, has attracted interest following his preseason form and loan stint in the Premier League last season.According to The Sun, Wolves are leading the race to sign the 22-year-old and are willing to meet Palaces 10 million asking price. The Molineux outfit view Rak-Sakyi as a potential replacement for Matheus Cunha, who was sold to Manchester United last month in a deal worth over 50 million.Scottish giants Rangers have also registered interest in the winger but are unwilling to meet Palaces valuation, leaving Wolves in pole position to secure his signature.Rak-Sakyi spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, where he gained valuable top-flight experience despite the Blades relegation. He returned to Palace this summer and made an instant impact in the Eagles preseason opener, netting the only goal in a 1-0 win over Millwall.Palace are open to selling the academy graduate, who faces stiff competition for minutes in Oliver Glasners squad.Wolves, meanwhile, see him as a dynamic wide option with room to develop.
