Former Hearts of Oak defender Konadu Yiadom seals move to Israeli side Hapoel Kfar Saba
Former Hearts of Oak defender Konadu Yiadom has taken the next step in his football career, securing a move to Israeli Division One League side Hapoel Kfar Saba ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 24-year-old joins the club on a free transfer after his contract with Hearts expired at the end of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League campaign.Yiadom made 18 league appearances for the Phobians last season, providing a solitary assist and scoring once in the process.Despite the clubs efforts to tie him down to a new deal, the former WAFA SC center-back and captain declined an extension, choosing to pursue a new challenge abroad.A towering and composed presence at the back, Yiadom initially joined Hearts in August 2022 and quickly became a defensive stalwart. His impressive displays earned him a spot in Ghanas squad for the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria. However, a loan spell at Ukrainian outfit Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih last season did not yield the expected success, and he returned to the Ghanaian top flight seeking to rebuild his form.At Kfar Saba, who finished seventh in the Israeli second tier last term, Yiadom is expected to add steel and leadership to the backline. The club hopes his arrival will help in their push for promotion to the Israeli Premier League.
