Ghanaian midfielder Rashid Abubakar joins Kazakhstani side FC Atyrau
Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Rashid Abubakar has joined Kazakhstani topflight side FC Atyrau in the ongoing summer transfer window.The 25-year-old joins FC Atyrau on a short term deal, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until December 2025.Abubakar is no stranger to the Kazakhstani topflight, having previously had spells with FC Ordabasy. Known for his versatility, he is expected to play a pivotal role at the club.Switching to fellow Kazakhstani outfit marks another significant step in his career and is expected to showcase his talent at the top level.The midfielder began his career with Accra Lions FC in Ghana before embarking on an international journey that has seen him play in various leagues across the globe.After leaving Ghana, he had stints with Al Suqoor in Libya and Omani side Bahla Club. He later moved to Serbia, where he featured for FK Loznica, after a spell at FK Sarajevo, a top-tier Bosnian side.In 2021, Abubakar joined Chinese club Heilongjiang Ice City on loan, where he played from July to October.He signed for Spartanii on a free transfer after leaving Bahla Club and quickly proved his worth in Moldova.
