'StarTimes and GFA could partner again in the upcoming season' â?? StarTimes PRO
Public Relations Officer of StarTimes Ghana, Eli Kondoh, says the company remains open to renewing its partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the upcoming season.Kondoh disclosed in an interview with Joy Sports that although previous renewal talks were called off in May, discussions are still ongoing that could see StarTimes return in some capacitypossibly in production or limited broadcast rights.It might not be specifically the Ghana Premier Leagueor maybe just an aspect of the leaguebut there are talks ongoing. It could be production, he said.So the talks are still in progress, and once they are finalised, Im sure you'll get hold of it, and then we can communicate to the viewers exactly the details of the new terms that might come up.His comments come amid efforts by StarTimes to clear an outstanding balance of over $800,000 owed to the GFA from their original $5.25 million broadcast deal signed in 2020.Following the expiry of that five-year agreement, the GFA handed league coverage to AFA TV and Globe TV.Kondoh confirmed that a portion of the debt has already been paid, signalling the companys continued commitment to Ghana football.
