
Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah has shared his most memorable experience from his visit to Ghana.
Born in the UK to Ghanaian parents, the former Chelsea forward traveled to the West African nation for a holiday in November 2022.
Upon landing at Kotoka International Airport, he was greeted by his parents and other family members in a joyous reunion.
Speaking to NBC Sports, Nketiah fondly recalled the warm reception he received.
Probablythe welcoming I got at the airport. It was very, very joyful, he said.It was really exciting to see so many people happy to see me back the dancing and the good food.That nice, positive feeling was the most enjoyable moment. It was a warm welcome, he added.Despite representing England at youth level, Nketiah was once heavily linked with a potential switch to play for Ghanas national team, the Black Stars, but ultimately decided against it.
