
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has pledged to make the most of his new position on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee following his recent election.
Okraku was elected to the prestigious committee on Wednesday, March 12, becoming the sixth Ghanaian to hold such a position.
Speaking in an interview with freelance journalist Alexis Laura Ehiagwina as reported by 3Sports, he expressed his gratitude and commitment to the role.
I want to make full use of this opportunity. I dont know what the future holds, but truth be told, whatever opportunities that come my way, I will give my absolute best, he stated.His appointment is considered a significant boost for Ghanaian football, with many hoping his presence at CAFs decision-making table will bring positive developments to the countrys football landscape.
Okraku joins a distinguished list of Ghanaian football administrators who have served on the CAF Executive Committee, including Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi.
