
The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has stated that Ghanas sports development challenges can be addressed through intentional leadership.
Ampofo Ankrah, a veteran sports broadcaster, was recently appointed to lead the NSA, with many believing that poor leadership has contributed to infrastructure issues in the sector.
His appointment comes at a crucial time when stakeholders are calling for urgent reforms in Ghanas sports administration.
One major concern has been the poor management of national stadiums, which resulted in the Baba Yara Sports Stadium being banned from hosting CAF Category Three matches.
Ampofo Ankrah also revealed that the NSA will adhere to a government plan aimed at developing the sports sector.
The good news is that we have the brains and the people to make the changes.
