Andre Ayew still excluded from Ghana's World Cup squad
[caption id=attachment_1228820 align=alignnone width=612] Ghana's midfielder #10 Andre Ayew[/caption]Veteran forward Andre Ayew has been omitted from the Black Stars squad again despite his run of form in Ligue 1 with Le Havre.The captain of the Black Stars has been out of the team since March 2024, and there were reports of a potential return before the announcement of Otto Addo's squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.However, the German-trained coach released his squad with the 35-year-old as Ghana prepares for the games against Chad and Madagascar later this month.The decision has left Ghanaians with divided opinions as many believe his presence could have a positive impact of the team, which others feel lacks leaders after the West African powerhouse failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.Otto Addo has, however, reportedly handed the leadership of the team to Jordan Ayew, the younger brother of Andre Ayew for the upcoming matches.The Black Stars will host Chad on Friday March 21 in Accra before travelling to Morocco for their sixth game of the qualifying run against Madagascar.
