Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen is determined to help the Super Eagles avoid another setback in their quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.With newly appointed coach Eric Chelle at the helm, Osimhen believes the team can turn their fortunes around and overcome the current four-point deficit to Group C leaders Rwanda. There's a new manager now, and we are desperately looking forward to the game against Rwanda to try to correct all the previous mistakes we've made and put ourselves in a better position to qualify, Osimhen said.Having missed out on the previous edition in Qatar, the three-time African champions have struggled in their qualifying matches as they remain winless after four games. With six points, they lie fifth in Group C and desperately need wins to revive their hopes of qualifying. The forward has already had positive discussions with Chelle and is optimistic about the coach's vision for the team. I've spoken to him a couple of times and clearly understand the objectives he has set for himself and for the players.Osimhen emphasised the importance of collective effort and responsibility among the players.
