CAF U20 AFCON: Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa & Morocco pitted in group of death
The Nigeria U20 male national team will face a daunting task in the group stage of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations set to take place in Cote D'Ivoire.The draw for the upcoming tournament was held successfully today, placing the various countries in three groups.Group B which has been labelled the group of death features Nigeria, Morocco and Egypt from North Africa and South Africa.While all national teams are expected to present talented squads at the tournament, good preparation will be key to ensuring progression to the knockout stage.Meanwhile, Ghana's U20 team, the Black Satellites have been handed a tricky draw ahead of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Tanzania and DR Congo. The four nations will be joined by another team from UNIFFAC 2.Holders Senegal, Zambia, Kenya and Sierra Leone make up Group C of the competition.The 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will begin on April 26 and end on May 16, 2025, with the top two teams qualifying for the U20 World Cup.
