CAF U20 AFCON: Holders Senegal named in Group C to face Zambia, Kenya, and Sierra Leone
Defending Champions of the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal will compete in Group C in the next edition of the tournament scheduled to take place in Cote D'Ivoire.Senegal starred at the 2023 edition of the U20 AFCON in Egypt, keeping clean sheets in all games en route to defeating Gambia in the final for a first trophy at that level.Having qualified for the 2025 U20 AFCON, Senegal has today been drawn into Group C.In the group, the holders will battle Zambia, Kenya and Sierra LeoneGroup B which has been labelled the group of death features Nigeria, Morocco and Egypt from North Africa and South Africa.Meanwhile, Ghana's U20 team, the Black Satellites have been handed a tricky draw ahead of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Tanzania and DR Congo. The four nations will be joined by another team from UNIFFAC 2.The 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will begin on April 26 and end on May 16, 2025, with the top two teams qualifying for the U20 World Cup.
