Former Ghana star Mohammed Polo questions GFA's decision to retain Otto Addo
[caption id=attachment_1201569 align=alignnone width=696] Mohammed Polo[/caption]Former Ghanaian international Mohammed Polo has criticised the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for retaining Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars despite his failure to qualify the team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).Polo urged Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, to investigate the reasons behind the GFAs decision, describing Addos continued stay as mind-boggling.The Black Stars face a serious problem, and it all boils down to coaching. Despite the disappointment in the qualifiers, Otto Addo has been maintained. Its surprising to keep a coach who couldnt qualify Ghana for AFCON, Polo told Ghanasoccernet.The GFA recently confirmed Otto Addos position while appointing German coach Winfried Anton Schafer as Technical Advisor. Polo believes this move indicates a lack of faith in Addos capabilities.If you appoint a technical advisor for him, it means the coach is not good enough. We should let him go and allow the technical advisor to take full charge of the team, he added.
