Otumfuo adopts children of late Kotoko supporter Nana Pooley to benefit from Educational Fund
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene of Asanteman, has taken a compassionate step by adopting the children of late Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, popular known as Nana Pooley, ensuring their education through his educational fund.Nana Pooley, a devoted fan of Asante Kotoko, tragically lost his life in Nsoatre after being stabbed during Kotokos Week 19 encounter against Nsoatreman FC in the Ghana Premier League.The deceased fan left behind a wife and four children.In a gesture of support, Otumfuo who is the Life Patron of Asante Kotoko has committed to securing the childrens future by covering their educational needs and easing the burden on the bereaved family.The announcement was delivered to the family by the Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotokos Interim Management Committee (IMC), Nana Akwasi Awuah, who conveyed Otumfuos commitment to the children's well-being.The Asantehene has taken a personal interest in the welfare of your children, Nana Awuah assured.Meanwhile, a group of Asante Kotoko fans in the United States of America have also decided to support the wife and children of the late Kotoko supporter.The fans of the club in the US led by Chief CK Gyamfi have decided to contribute $100 each to a fund to support the wife and children of the deceased.
