GHALCA no longer fighting for the interest of clubs, says ex-chairman J.Y Appiah
Former chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA), Joseph Yaw Appiah has raised concern about the current state of the association.According to him, GHALCA as it is now is not fit for purpose.Speaking to Joy Sports, J.Y Appiah argued that GHALCA no longer fights for the interest of clubs.GHALCA is no longer fit for purpose. GHALCA is a body that was set up to represent the interests of clubs, but they are not fighting for the interests of the clubs, J.Y Appiah said.Meanwhile, John Ansah, the newly elected Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association, has pledged to turn things around.Ansah, a former GHALCA Vice-Chairman, won the associations elections held on January 23, at the Accra Sports Stadium, securing 96 out of 132 votes.He has pledged to unite stakeholders to look out for the interest of all clubs towards the development of the game in the country.I want to bring everybody on board. Ill solicit a lot of advice from my senior and even my own colleagues to be able to lift GHALCA from where it was, John Ansah assured after his victory.
