Mahama tasks Sports Minister Kofi Adams to work closely with GFA to restore Black Stars to its glory days
President John Dramani Mahama has tasked Sports Minister Kofi Adams to work closely with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to restore the lost image of the Black Stars.This comes after the President swore the Minister into office on Friday, February 7.Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, President John Dramani Mahama bemoaned the state of Ghana sports and the Black Stars, urging the Minister to work with stakeholders including the Ghana FA to return the national team to its glory days.The Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, I dont envy your job. You have the monumental task of restoring Ghana to its pride of place in African and world sports. The shambles that is Ghana sports today is unacceptable.I expect that you will concentrate on building all the sports disciplines and I know the Ghana Football Association will be a good place to start to work to make sure that we return Black Stars to its glory days, President Mahama said.In his address, President John Dramani Mahama urged the Minister to work with transparency, professionalism, and modernity in the management of the sports sector.
