GFA engages Women's Premier League clubs to review first round of 2024/25 season
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has met with all 18 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League clubs to assess the first round of the ongoing 2024/25 season and discuss the way forward.GFA President Kurt Okraku commended the clubs for their contributions to the leagues growth and urged them to aim for further progress in the second half of the campaign.He reassured them of the associations continued support, including updates on benefits due to the clubs.A key focus of the meeting was compliance with regulations, as well as safety and security measures.DCOP Lydia Donkor, Chairperson of the GFA Safety and Security Committee, introduced new security initiatives from the Ghana Police Service and reminded clubs of existing protocols.The discussions also covered areas such as player and match promotions, officiating, and improving league standards.The Malta Guinness Women's Premier League has been highly competitive, with teams like Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Dreamz Ladies, and Police Ladies battling for the title as the league enters Matchday 11 this weekend.
