Itâ??s barbaric; we cannot continue like this â?? GHALCA chairman John Ansah calls for an end to hooliganism
Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA), John Ansah has described the violent disturbances witnessed in Nsoatre during the league match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko as barbaric. Speaking at a meeting with the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Ansah urged stakeholders to find a solution to hooliganism, stressing that it cannot be allowed to continue.We cannot continue to lose lives in the name of football. It is unacceptable. The entire football fraternity must come together to find lasting solutions to these security challenges, he stated.This comes after the violent disturbances during the league match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko on Sunday which led to the death of one supporter.The Police have so far taken over the case and arrested six suspects in connection with the violence.The security service has assured the public of thorough investigations to ensure the perpetrators are identified and made to face the law.
