Female suspect arrested by Police over Nsoatreman FC v Asante Kotoko violence
The Ghana Police Service hasarrested a female suspect in connection to the clashes that erupted during the game between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko over the weekend at the Nana Kronmansah Park.The clash led to the death of a Kotoko fan, who has been identified asFrancis Frimpongalso known as Nana Pooley.Five suspects have been arrested so far by the Ghana Police Service including the owner of Nsoatreman, Ignatius Baffour Awuah.However, on Thursday morning, the suspect, Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa also known as Akosua Black Chinese, has becomethe sixth person to be arrested in connection to the violence.According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, Akosua Ntiriwaa is incustody and assisting with the investigation.Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed the Matchday 20 games. The GFA will hold a meeting with Premier League CEOs to discuss how to halt hooliganism at the various stadia.
