Ex-Kotoko captain Isaac Amoako condemns chaotic incidence which led to supporterâ??s death
Former Asante Kotoko captain Isaac Amoako has strongly condemned the violent incident that led to the death of a Kotoko supporter during a match against Nsoatreman FC.Amoako expressed concerns about the negative impact of hooliganism on the reputation of the Ghana Premier League.No one enjoys investing in a product that brings this kind of thing, hooliganism. Nobody wants to associate himself with those kinds of behaviours, Amoako said in an interview with Citi Sports.As Ghanaians, and a football country, we should learn from certain things, we have come of age and those things should stop.Amoako emphasized that the violence, which began on the field, escalated into the stands, ultimately leading to the tragic loss of life.What happened yesterday, started from the players and generated into the supporters which brought the sudden death of this young supporter.The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken swift action, banning Nsoatreman FC's home venue and requesting a full investigation by the Ghana Police Service.
