FC Magdeburg sporting director Otmar Schork believes new signing Patric Pfeiffer will settle in quickly and make an immediate impact following his loan move from FC Augsburg.The 25-year-old Ghanaian defender has joined Magdeburg on loan for the remainder of the season after struggling for game time at Swiss club BSC Young Boys, where he spent the first half of the campaign.Pfeiffer, who signed with Augsburg last summer, is expected to strengthen Magdeburgs defense as they push for a strong finish in the 2. Bundesliga.Following Andi Hotis departure, we saw the need to strengthen our central defense. With Patric, we are getting a player with significant second-division experience who can immediately help us, Schork said.Pfeiffer previously starred for SV Darmstadt 98, playing a key role in their promotion to the Bundesliga before moving to Augsburg.Magdeburg head coach Christian Titz, who worked with Pfeiffer at Hamburgs youth setup, also expressed confidence in his ability, describing him as a complete defender with strong physical attributes.
