Former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has called for Otto Addos dismissal, claiming that he is not the right person to lead the Black Stars as head coach.Addo, 49, was unable to secure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), meaning Ghana, a four-time African champion, will miss the prestigious tournament for the first time in 20 years.With the 2026 World Cup qualifiers set to resume in March later this year, Osei Kweku Palmer, who is the owner of Tema Youth, believes Ghana's chances of qualifying for the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico will improve only if Addo is replaced.If we are looking forward to qualifying for the World Cup, we should take bold steps, such as getting off go Otto Addo, he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has strengthened the Black Stars' technical team, appointing Winfried Schfer as the new technical advisor and technical director of the team.Desmond Offei, the head coach of the Black Satellites, has been promoted to the Black Stars' technical bench as an assistant coach, replacing German Joseph Laumann. Offei will join current assistants John Paintsil and Fatawu Dauda, who will retain their roles under Addo.Additionally, Kris Perquy will serve as the team's psychologist, and Gregory De Grauwe will take on the role of video analyst.The Black Stars are set to face Chad and Madagascar in the next round of World Cup qualifiers.
