We expect Nora Hauptle to win WAFCON titles â?? Zambia FA

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has expressed high expectations for newly appointed Copper Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle, as the team looks to secure major titles under her leadership.Hauptle, who previously coached Ghanas Black Queens during the 2024 Olympic qualifiers, has been tasked with taking the team to greater heights, including winning the Womens Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) titles.Zambia qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games by defeating Ghana 4-3 on aggregate in the playoffs, which included a 1-0 victory in Accra and a 3-3 draw in the return leg.This performance has heavily influenced the FAZs decision to appoint Hauptle, according to Reuben Kamanga, the General Secretary of FAZ.Speaking to Joy Sports, Kamanga explained that Hauptles knowledge of the players and her tactical approach during the qualifiers played a key role in her selection.She [Nora Hauptle] knew our players well, understood their strengths and weaknesses, and perhaps the [Ghana vs Zambia Olympic qualifiers] gave her an advantage over the other candidates.We want her [Nora Hauptle] to maintain Olympic and World Cup qualifications, win WAFCON trophies, and secure more regional accolades.
