I needed a new challenge - Ibrahim Tanko after joining Medeama SC
Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has opened up on why he left Accra Lions to join the Mauve and Yellow.Tanko, a former Black Stars assistant coach has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Tarkwa-based side.He has replacedNebojsa Kapor who was shown the exit after a poor start to the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.After a three-year run with Accra Lions, Tanko believes it was time to do something else and that is what led him to leave the club and join Medeama.After three years, I just decided maybe I want to do something else so thats the reason. I am still fine with the (Lions) team owners.There is no misunderstanding, I just decided to do something different and they allowed me, he added.Ibrahim Tanko is expected to be in the dugout when Medeama SC travel to play Legon Cities in the Matchday 19 games at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
