Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have mutually terminated the contract of coach Kim Grant.
The Phobians announced the decision on their Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Grant was given a four-game ultimatum to save his job after their defeat against Asante Kotoko in the President Cup last Sunday.
The former Ghana forward, however, failed to bring joy on the faces of their supporters when they hosted Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
But a first-half Jonah Attuquaye’s goal condemned the Phobians to a slim defeat in the league opener.
The Rainbow Club hierarchy held a closed-door on Tuesday morning where it was decided that both parties should go their separate ways.
Deputy trainer Edward Nii Odoom has been announced as his replacement ahead of Sunday’s clash against Medeama SC.
