Actress Khareema Aguiar has urged Moesha Boduong’s brother to provide updates to the public, on donations received through a GoFundMe campaign for the socialite’s health issues.
The call for transparency comes after Moesha’s brother, Ebito Boduong, announced in January that his sister had suffered a stroke and required financial assistance. Ebito set up a GoFundMe account on January 22, 2024, detailing Moesha’s condition and requesting support to cover her medical expenses.
Celebrities and members of the public, including musicians like Efya and Becca responded to the plea by donating funds and encouraging others to contribute. By February 4, 2024, the campaign had raised $5,578 out of the $10,000 target.
However, concerns have arisen as no updates on Moesha’s health have been provided by her family despite the passage of over a month since the fundraising efforts began.
Actress Khareema Aguiar voiced these concerns while extending birthday wishes to Moesha and her colleague Belinda Dzattah. She emphasised the importance of accountability, stating, “I believe her brother owes Ghanaians an update about her health as Ghanaians genuinely answered when he called on them to support.”
She urged Ebito to fulfill his obligation to those who generously donated to assist Moesha during her time of need.
As the wait for updates continues, the public remains hopeful for positive news regarding Moesha Boduong’s health and recovery.
Khareema’s remarks serve as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with seeking support from the community, emphasising the need for transparency and communication throughout the process.
