Talented Ghanaian artiste and songwriter, Peter Bozah, known in the music scene as Fameye, emerged as the Artiste of the Year at the 7th edition of the Western Music Awards held at the Kingstel Hotel, Takoradi on December 24.
The awards ceremony was organised by Westline Entertainment to reward deserving artistes in the region for their hard work, dedication and contribution to Ghana’s music industry. It was sponsored by Medimafo Herbal Centre.

Despite the challenges faced by the organising team in the past year, Nana Kwesi Coomson, the PRO of the event, emphasised their triumph with the collective backing of stakeholders.
In a momentous win, Sally M clinched the title of New Artiste of the Year, marking a promising entry into the music scene.
The stage came alive with electrifying performances by Yaw Lucaz, Aya Ramzy B, Bobo Dada B, Sally M, and other dynamic artistes.
Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including Justice Acquah, Managing Director of Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited (PSGL), Alex Blankson, Member of Parliament for Akrofuom Constituency, and Dr. Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, among others. Their presence added an air of prestige to the celebration.
As the curtains fell on the 7th edition of the Western Music Awards, the echoes of exceptional performances and outstanding achievements lingered, underscoring the resilience of the industry amidst the challenges faced.

Other award winners include Yaw Lucaz who won the Best Rapper award, Bobo Dada B winning Most Popular Regional Song of the Year, Lasmid won the Most Popular National Song of the Year award, amongst others.
