The Premier League Board (PLB) has provided a six-man shortlist for the maiden NASCO Player of the Month and NASCO Coach of the Month awards for the month of April.
For the Player of the Month category, WAFA's Daniel Lomotey Agbloe, Berekum Chelsea's Stephen Sarfo and Accra Hearts of Oak's Winful Kwaku Cobbina have been shortlisted.
For the Coach of the Month category, WAFA coach, Klas Rasmussen, made the shortlist, alongside Yusif Abubakar of Aduana Stars and Frank Elliot Nuttall of Accra Hearts of Oak.
The winners will be announced by the PLB next week and they will be presented with their prizes from Nasco Electronics, sponsors of the award.
It would be recalled that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last Monday announced a partnership agreement with Nasco electronics as its electronic partner for the Premier League, with the sponosrship of the innovative Man of the Match, Player of the Month and Coach of the Month awards for the Ghana Premier League.
In respect of the above, the PLB has abolished the practice whereby Match Commissioners solely select the man of the match.
In its place, Match Commissioners shall now coordinate the selection process with the active involvement of coaches of the two teams playing, as well as the fourth official to agree on who wins the award.
According to the PLB, the issue should, as much as possible, be highlighted at the pre-match technical meeting for the understanding of all.
It also directed referees and match commissioners to include information on the process in their match reports.
A statement signed by the GFA Deputy General Secretary, Alex Asante, cautioned that any report which did not include such information would be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for the necessary action.
