A 36-year-old man, Abdul Salam, has been arrested by the Asankrangwa Police for murdering his six-year-old son for rituals.
The suspect was alleged to have severed the head and left legs of the boy in what could be described as a ritual murder.
ASP Olivia Adiku who confirmed the story to the Ghana News Agency said the incident happened at Adidaase near Amanso Amenfi in Wassa Amenfi district of the Western Region.
She said the deceased went missing for two days and a search by the unit committee of the area for him yielded no results.
She said subsequently upon interrogation the suspect confessed that he murdered the boy to sell the head and the legs.
ASP Adiku said Salam was in Police custody for further investigations.
