The police have shot and killed two suspected armed robbers, whom they said opened fire on them at Asankare in the Ashanti region during the Easter festivity.
The two men were said to have stormed the offices of a licensed cocoa buying company, and took away an amount of about Gh¢580,000, which was to used to pay salaries of workers.
The Konongo Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent Ohene Boadi Bossman said the two armed men on the a motorbike stormed the place whilst payment of the salary was underway,
They had a pump action gun and a pistol .
