Las Palmas’ Kevin-Prince Boateng has until the end of April to decide if he wants to take an offer from Valencia or stay with the island outfit.
Plaza Deportiva reports a meeting between Boateng’s representatives and the Las Palmas hierarchy that will take place in the next few days and go a long way to determining the midfielder’s future.
It’s at that meeting that Boateng, through his agents, will either confirm his intention to stay on the Canary Islands for another year or seek a move elsewhere, and he has an offer from Mestalla.
Boateng’s contract with Las Palmas runs until 2018 but there is an agreement that Las Palmas will let him leave if he’s unhappy or receives an offer he prefers from elsewhere.
The agreement is more of a pact between club and player than a contractual clause but sources at Las Palmas confirmed to Plaza Deportiva they will honour it if Boateng invokes it, but remain hopeful he will choose to stay.
Valencia, Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad are all eyeing the former Milan player, and he also has suitors from Europe, but Los Che are leading the way and Boateng has been asking about Valencia, both the city and the club, Plaza Deportiva adds.
But no decision has been made as yet, so in the next few weeks the, former Ghana international’s future is expected to be clarified.
