The downpour accompanied by strong winds wreaked havoc at the ANC Mall in East Legon, Accra, on Tuesday evening, leading to the collapse of the car park shed and significant damage to over 50 vehicles.
Viral videos on social media showed the shelter covering the parking area was torn down by the force of the wind, trapping several cars underneath the debris.
The videos show that collapse of the shed has caused considerable losses for vehicle owners and the mall itself.
Trees at the car park have also fallen on some of the cars.
