BDO Ghana, is pleased to announce the admission of Joel Owusu-Boakye, a Chartered Accountant, as a partner in its Audit and Assurance practice.

Joel Owusu-Boakye has over eighteen years of post-qualification experience, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and has a

postgraduate degree in Information Technology Project Management. Joel officially joined the firm in November 2025, further strengthening our ability to serve clients across key industries.

Prior to joining BDO, he was a Partner in one of the A1 firms in Ghana, offering a variety of services to both global and indigenous clients. Joel Owusu-Boakye worked with one of the Big Four accounting firms in Ghana, where he rose to the position of a manager in the Assurance and Strategy and Transactions service lines, rendering professional services across several sectors, including financial services.

He joins the firm with significant experience specialising in providing audit, assurance, and advisory services to clients in various areas such as the statutory audits in financial services such as Commercial and Development Banks, Pension funds, Fintech and Insurance companies; Mining and metal, Oil and Gas (downstream sector), Consumer Products, Real estate, Shipping and Logistics, Public sector, and Donor-funded projects.

His industry expertise and commitment to client service align perfectly with our firm’s values, and he will play a pivotal role in expanding our audit practice and delivering outstanding value to our clients.
