Africa AI Consult (Africon), Ghana’s fast-growing leader in artificial intelligence training and adoption, has successfully completed the first cohort of its flagship AI Masterclass for CEOs, attracting over 20 top executives from diverse industries, including banking, hospitality, manufacturing, ICT, logistics and education.
The two-day residential masterclass, held in Accra at the Africon AI Training & Innovation Centre in East Legon, delivered hands-on practical learning that equipped CEOs with the skills to lead AI transformation in their organisations.
High-profile participants included the CEO of Bank of Africa, Prof. Stephen Addai – former Rector of GIMPA, senior executives from microfinance institutions and respected authority on leadership and corporate governance.
The masterclass focused on AI strategy, executive decision-making, productivity
enhancement, prompt engineering, risk and ethics in AI and real-world applications of
generative and agentic AI tools. Participants received practical training on ChatGPT,
Perplexity Comet, Read AI, Gamma and Africon’s proprietary CRIT Prompt Framework, which improves clarity and accuracy in AI-assisted decision-making.
Speaking after the event, Gideon Asare, CEO of Adansi Travels and Founder of Africon, emphasised that AI is now a leadership imperative, not an IT responsibility. “African companies will soon compete on productivity, data and execution speed. AI gives leaders a significant strategic advantage, and this class proves that Ghanaian CEOs are ready to embrace the future. Our role at Africon is to guide leaders to use AI responsibly and effectively to accelerate business growth.”
Participants described the masterclass as transformational, eye-opening and urgently
needed in Ghana’s executive training landscape. With increasing demand and limited seats, Africon has announced Cohort 2 of the CEO AI Masterclass, scheduled for January 30 and 31, 2026 at the Africon AI Training & Innovation Centre in East Legon.
Registration for the next cohort is now open and participants get the benefits of the masterclass including: AI strategy and transformation planning; executive-level prompt engineering using the CRIT framework; automation of reporting, communication and analysis; AI-supported decision-making frameworks; hands-on practical use of industry-leading AI tools; AI governance, ethics and cybersecurity fundamentals; and post-training access to Africon’s AI resources
