Evivi Foods, a leading brand in Ghana’s food and production industry, has launched its latest cooking innovation – the ‘Evivi Soya Oil’, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to Ghanaian manufacturing and the promotion of local products. The launch, which took place during the Nkyimkyim Experience-Evivi Edition’ at the
National Theatre, was witnessed by hundreds of entertainment and food enthusiasts. Attendees had the opportunity to taste Evivi’s khebab prepared with chicken produced by the company. Some too had the opportunity to get samples of the newly launched Evivi Soya Oil.
The General Manager of Newage Agric Solutions Limited, parent company of Evivi Foods, Martin Tettey Nartey, emphasised the launch of Evivi Soya Oil signifies the brand’s commitment toward Ghana’s food self-sufficiency agenda. “Evivi Foods is deeply committed to advancing Ghana’s food self-sufficiency agenda.
Our promise is rooted in three core pillars: Local sourcing and farmer empowerment; quality processing and value addition; and national pride and consumer confidence. In essence, Evivi Foods exists to nourish Ghana, empower farmers and champion the rise of premium Ghana-made foods that can compete anywhere in the world,” he said.

He urged government to provide the right business environment and policies to protect local industries and enhance sustainability. “A thriving local food industry requires more than entrepreneurial effort, it also depends on supportive government policies that create a level playing field for Ghanaian producers like Evivi Foods. Well-designed trade and industrial policies are essential to achieving long-term sustainability, competitiveness and national food security,” he explained.
Speaking to the press at the launch of the Evivi Soya oil, Commodities Manager at Evivi Foods, Joana Asante, said the products are being manufactured locally to create jobs and boost the country’s economy.
She is hopeful this will be a game-changer to several soya farmers in Ghana, especially women engaged in soya farming, expressing optimism that Ghanaians will go for Evivi Soya Oil just as they’ve accepted Evivi Rice – another product from the company.
“A lot of the oil is imported, and we are one of the few that produces locally. We assure consumers of our quality because the oil is produced under safe environment in adherence to quality controls to ensure our products meet international standards.
And our main raw material, which is oil, comes from our local soya farms; which is how we have decided to add value to the entire soya bean value chain in Ghana. I believe Ghanaians will accept our oil just as they have accepted our rice,” she added.

Miss Asante explained the oil is produced to serve as the perfect choice for consumers who value quality and prioritise their health as well. “Evivi Soya Oil is carefully refined to deliver superior purity, and an aroma that brings out the best in every meal. Rich in essential nutrients and low in saturated fats, Evivi Oil is the perfect choice for families who value quality, health and great taste. From frying and baking to everyday cooking, trust Evivi to make every dish light, flavourful and irresistibly wholesome,” she stated.
She described Evivi Soya Oil as a food product that has the potential of bringing people together. “Made with care for the modern Ghanaian home, Evivi Soyabean Oil is your trusted partner for delicious, healthy meals. Its smooth texture and neutral taste enhance your favourite dishes without overpowering them. With its essential minerals, Evivi Soya Oil keeps your family nourished, safe and satisfied – one meal at a time,” she explained.
