Data has become central to business continuity in Ghana’s fast-growing digital economy, with organisations now treating it as a core strategic asset rather than a by-product of operations. As companies collect increasing volumes of data from applications, devices, customers and employees, the need for stronger protection has intensified.
It is against this backdrop that Virtual Infosec Africa (VIA), in partnership with global security intelligence firm Exabeam, will host a high-level cybersecurity engagement in Accra on 25 November 2025. The event, scheduled for the Alisa Hotel, aims to introduce Ghanaian businesses to advanced AI-powered threat-detection and modern Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) capabilities.
Targetted cyberattacks are becoming faster, more complex and increasingly automated. With global data volumes projected by IDC to reach 5.2 zettabytes in 2025, traditional security tools are struggling to process and analyse information quickly enough to detect modern threats. VIA and Exabeam say this shift makes cybersecurity a business survival issue rather than a purely technical role.
The partnership seeks to equip local companies with AI-driven SIEM, behavioural analytics and automated response technologies. A key focus will be building technical capacity among Ghana’s cybersecurity professionals through training and hands-on exposure to the tools.
“This is more than a technology introduction,” said Mr. Armah, Security Lead at VIA. “Our goal is to combine regional cybersecurity experience with Exabeam’s global leadership, giving Ghanaian businesses the ability to detect threats earlier, run faster investigations and reduce analyst fatigue.”
This initiative aligns with Bank of Ghana efforts to strengthen cyber resilience within the financial sector through directives, frameworks and regular assessments. With digital finance now integral to economic stability, enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure has become a national priority.
Exabeam, recently named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM for the sixth time, will showcase technologies including behavioural analytics, hyper-scale logging and its Mova AI multi-agent system. These tools are designed to help security teams identify abnormal activity, gain end-to-end visibility across digital assets and automate key aspects of threat-detection and investigation.
According to the partners, this collaboration signals that Ghanaian institutions can adopt global-standard cybersecurity solutions without lag. As data volumes grow and threat actors evolve, they argue that AI-driven security will be essential for businesses seeking resilience, operational continuity and customer trust.
They add that such partnerships represent a significant step toward building the secure digital environment required to support Ghana’s long-term economic transformation.
