The organisers of the Hospitality Awards Africa (HAA) have announced that its prestigious 2025 ceremony will be held in Lomé, Togo, marking a significant milestone for the pan-African initiative.

The seventh edition of the awards is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2025, at the luxurious five-star Hotel 2 Fevrier, where it will gather the continent’s most distinguished hoteliers, restaurateurs, and tourism innovators for a night of celebration and networking.
This year’s event, under the theme “Celebrating Africa’s Authentic Hospitality Culture,” is poised to be a landmark occasion.
The theme is a deliberate move to spotlight the unique and deeply rooted traditions of African hospitality that form the bedrock of the sector’s global appeal. The awards will honour those individuals and establishments that not only achieve excellence in service and innovation but also passionately preserve and promote the authentic essence of the African experience for both local and international guests.
As a symbolic gesture to bring this theme to life, attendees are formally encouraged to wear traditional attire. This aims to transform the red carpet and gala dinner into a vibrant tapestry of African heritage, infusing the evening with colour, texture, and a profound sense of cultural pride.
The move ensures that the spirit of Africa remains the central, beating heart of the celebration, moving beyond a simple awards ceremony to become a true exhibition of continental identity.
Executive Director, Hospitality Awards Africa, Eugene Vidzro, emphasised that the decision to host the 2025 awards in Togo is a strategic one, reflecting the award scheme’s core principle of rotational hosting across the continent.
After six consecutive and successful years in Ghana, this relocation to Lomé underscores a commitment to showcasing Africa’s diverse and rich hospitality sector.
“It provides a vital platform for Togo’s burgeoning tourism and hospitality industry to captivate an international audience, highlighting its unique attractions, investment opportunities, and world-class services. This rotation gives each host nation an unparalleled opportunity to shine on a continental stage, fostering a spirit of unity and shared growth,” he said.
The HAA, he emphasised, has always been more than just an awards ceremony; it is a movement dedicated to elevating the entire African hospitality landscape.
“Our move to Togo is also a testament to our belief that excellence in hospitality is found in every corner of our continent. We are thrilled to partner with Togo to present an unforgettable event that will not only honour the best in the business but also proudly display the authentic warmth and culture that define us,” he added.
