… Africa Best Business Awards Honour Top Firms at 2025 Edition
The Africa Best Business Awards (ABBA) 2025 honored over 30 companies and entrepreneurs for outstanding performance and economic impact across Africa, solidifying its role as the continent’s premier showcase of enterprise excellence.
Held at an exclusive five-star executive dinner in Accra under the theme “Honouring Business Brilliance, Shaping Africa’s Future,” the event spotlighted firms excelling in innovation, sustainability, and cross-border influence.
Delivering remarks on behalf of Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim called on the private sector to capitalise on the enabling ecosystem emerging from Ghana’s Resetting Ghana Agenda.
“Government is providing the soil,” she said. “We require businesses to sow with us, to water with us, and to harvest with us.”
Organised by Delve Afrique Communications and Maven Communications with support from Zeliatte Media, the awards seek to highlight firms and leaders that exemplify resilience, creativity, and strategic growth.
Seth Jojo Danso Asante, Director at Maven Communications, said the event recognised firms “performing exceptionally in Ghana and also extending their footprint beyond the country’s borders.”
He explained that the evaluation process considered longevity, product and service quality, national relevance, and international competitiveness.
“We have an awarding board made up of elite individuals in society, some from government, academia, and the business field,” Mr. Danso said. “We assess how businesses serve national needs and how their operations transcend Ghana’s borders.”

Benchmark for African Enterprise
According to Rev. Dr. Mensah, the ABBA platform is not just about awards but also about creating a benchmark for excellence in African enterprise. He said the recognition program aims to “celebrate the African business spirit, which thrives on resilience, creativity, and a vision for sustainable development.”
“ABBA serves as a mirror reflecting the best of what Africa can achieve when the private sector and leadership collaborate to build transformative businesses,” he said.
The event also highlighted Africa’s growing entrepreneurial energy despite global economic headwinds. Organisers noted that firms recognised this year had demonstrated innovation amid rising costs and uncertain markets, using technology and operational efficiency to stay competitive.
Building Momentum for the Future
Mr. Danso noted that ABBA’s broader mission is to foster connections among African businesses and facilitate access to regional markets. “We want to build a stronger African business community that recognises its own potential and collaborates to scale innovations,” he said.
The Africa Best Business Awards has evolved into a continental reference point for performance recognition, blending private sector leadership with public policy engagement. As Mr. Danso put it, “The goal is to recognise brilliance today to inspire tomorrow’s leaders.”
With honorees spanning multinational giants to emerging enterprises, the 2025 edition reaffirmed Africa’s diverse economic base and underscored the role of innovation-driven businesses in shaping the continent’s next growth phase.
