She also holds an MBA in Marketing, a BSc in Marketing and other professional certifications that affirm her commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
Professionally, Dr. Wurah serves as the Head of Strategic Sector Development (ICT Focus) at Development Bank Ghana (DBG), where she leads initiatives to unlock financing opportunities within Ghana’s digital economy. Her mandate focuses on identifying, structuring and promoting bankable ICT enterprises and projects through strategic partnerships with Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs), ecosystem enablers and policy-makers. Her work advances DBG’s vision of catalysing inclusive growth, innovation and job creation through digital transformation.
Before joining Development Bank Ghana, Dr. Wurah built an impressive career at Société Générale Ghana, where she managed a retail banking portfolio for 11 years as a Relationship Manager. In that role, she deepened financial inclusion and championed customer-focused growth across the bank’s retail segment.

Beyond banking, Dr. Wurah is actively engaged in politics, reflecting her passion for leadership, governance and national development. She is committed to empowering others — especially young women — to pursue education, purpose and self-belief as tools for transformation.
