EchoHouse and The Echo Academy have introduced a new graduate internship program dubbed The Big LEAP, which aims to provide a practical learning experience for individuals seeking a career in the marketing field.
The three-month program is designed for people who are currently out of a job or working in another field but wish to transition into a career in marketing. It addresses the challenge faced by talented creatives and marketers off-campus who lack the strong career history needed for traditional recruitment channels.
“The Big LEAP is a career training program that allows participants to earn money while gaining valuable knowledge and experience in marketing,” Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba, CEO and Founder of EchoHouse, said in a statement.
The program is built around the L.E.A.P. principle, which stands for: Learn the fundamentals of marketing communications, Explore your creative potential on live client briefs, Apply skills in practical ways, and Progress towards a successful marketing career.
Participants will engage in department rotations that focus on three core aspects of marketing communications, which are: Building Influence, Creating Experience, and Creating Brand-led Content.
“The program’s progression is monitored through a ‘Work Book” that assesses general working culture and role-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),” Dr Prince Aning, Head of The Echo Academy, also said in a statement.
The launch of The Big LEAP is directly aligned with EchoHouse’s vision to empower Africa’s youth by providing access to creative careers.
“The Big LEAP is our commitment to investing in untapped creative talent,” Beryl continued. “We are not just offering an internship; we are building a structured pathway for motivated individuals to enter the marketing industry with the skills and confidence they need to succeed,” she added.
To be part of the programme, applicants will need to demonstrate at least 5 years of post-graduate work experience in any field.
The Echo Academy and EchoHouse have set out to shape the future by creating opportunities for aspiring marketing professionals to thrive in the marketing field.
