
The management team of GCB Bank PLC had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly appointed Managing Director, Farihan Alhassan.
Welcoming the Managing Director, Otumfuo offered his prayers for success as the new leader embarks on the challenging task of steering Ghana’s largest indigenous bank towards greater heights. He urged management, staff, and all stakeholders to provide maximum support.
Otumfuo also addressed the issue of cash hoarding in homes, shops, and other insecure locations among traders and business owners, which has been influenced by past events such as the banking sector cleanup and cases of fraud in financial institutions.
He called on Mr. Alhassan and other financial sector leaders to tackle the mistrust and negative perceptions that have discouraged Ghanaians from using banks for safekeeping.

Farihan expressed his deepest gratitude to the King for being a constant source of inspiration throughout his years and sought his blessings, unwavering guidance, and wise counsel as he ventures into this new chapter of his career. He also expressed his sincere appreciation for the immense support he has received from Management and Staff in the past few weeks since assuming his new role. In turn, he expressed his desire for continued support to help the Bank achieve even greater heights.
