Nosmay Education has launched its partnership with Britannica Academic to deliver digital learning materials for tertiary education via a digital platform, making educational resources directly accessible to students at their fingertips.
According to Nosmay’s Chief Executive Officer – Eunice Sylvia Yamson, with a corresponding rise in student enrolment at the tertiary level, access to educational materials has become a challenge. She added that the partnership will help bridge the gap and ensure quality education for all, leaving no one behind.
Mrs. Yamson elaborated that tertiary institutions can provide their students with on-demand access to curated learning materials with a subscription to Britannica Academic.
She noted that the platform is not restricted to Britannica Encyclopaedia, stressing its uniqueness and ability to make content available to students on any technological device anytime and anywhere.
“Britannica Academic not only contains Britannica encyclopaedia, but it also contains subscriptions to many academic journals you can access through that platform. The platform enables more learners to get adequate material, whether on their laptops or phones,” she said.
Mrs. Yamson emphasised that her outfit, a subsidiary of Nosmay Holdings, is committed to bridging education quality gaps and ensuring every Ghanaian student has access to the tools they need to succeed.
Considering the benefits of the digital platform, specifically its cost-effectiveness compared to textbooks, she urged that the country to embrace digital solutions in the educational sector to save costs and make more academic materials available.
A Librarian at the Ghana Christian University College, Esther Tawiah, expressed positive feedback about the platform, emphasising its ability to save time and make searching for information less cumbersome.
“I think this platform will save a lot of time because users will have access to journals, books and materials at their disposal and have the discretion to choose what they want to use”, she said.
Britannica Academic is a compilation of learning materials tailored to meet the academic standards for research and learning required at the tertiary level.
